We give as part of our response to God’s love for us in Christ and as our expression of the love of Christ for his world and our consequent concern for others. We very much believe that it is a joy to give from what God has so generously given to us, both individually and as a Church, and that this giving is a key expression of our Christian faith and discipleship as we seek to follow Christ. We are conscious that as we give so the Lord blesses us richly.
In 2025 we donated to the following external charities:
Hanne Howard Fund – a hands-on, family-oriented grassroots charity that works directly with vulnerable children and youth in Kenya to help transform their lives and achieve self-reliance through education, compassionate care and skills training.
Bishop’s Lent Appeal (Europe) – is a partnership between the Diocese in Europe and USPG to raise funds to respond to urgent humanitarian needs in Ukraine and refugee needs in neighbouring countries.
Stiftung Heilsarmee Schweiz – the Swiss Salvation Army.
Partner Sein – the international aid organisation of the Old Catholic Church working in Africa and Asia.
Diocesan Ordination Candidates Fund (Europe) – Cash received in collections at confirmations, at licensings and Episcopal visits is wholly to support the Ordination Candidates Fund.
Heart2Heart or Die Dargebotene Hand – acts as a contact point for people to call who are in need in Switzerland and Liechtenstein
