How You Can Help Us!

In order to fulfill our ministry St. Andrew’s relies on the time, talents and financial generosity of our members. We believe in every-member ministry. There are many opportunities for service in our church.

At Worship: we need people to help with the various voluntary tasks involved with running a busy church service. These volunteers are organised as rotas which are managed by a rota facilitator. Examples of the tasks that volunteers carry out are:

  • Acting as an welcomer/sidesperson
  • Reading a lesson
  • Leading the Intercessionary prayers
  • Singing in the choir
  • Teaching or helping in the Junior Church
  • Arranging flowers
  • Serving tea and coffee after the service

General: These are many other ways to be involed with the church community that are not worship related such as:

  • Serving on one of the committees
  • Leading or hosting a house group
  • Contributing to ‘Search’, our Chaplaincy magazine
  • Helping with the church cleaning and decoration
  • Helping with repairs and maintenance
  • Helping with Sound, Audio or IT
  • Helping in the church garden
  • Making handicrafts
  • Helping at the Annual Bazaar
  • Helping with Youth Group

As a community, we organise fundraising events throughout the year. These events provide an opportunity for our whole congregation to come together and have fun, whilst also helping to raise funds. If you would like to help with our fundraising in any way, we would love to hear from you!
