Choral Evensong is held about once a month at St Andrew’s church. This service follows the traditional pattern in the Book of Common Prayer and consists of choral music from the rich Anglican musical tradition, psalmody, scripture readings, prayers and a homily.
Choral Evensong provides a restful, peaceful and contemplative time between the end of the working day and night-time and offers the perfect opportunity to relax after a busy day.
Choral Evensong is mostly held on a Tuesday at 19:00, is held at St Andrew’s and lasts just under an hour and is usually followed by ápero. During the 2026-2027 season, choral evensong will be held on the following dates:
- Friday 23 October – Evensong held at Predigerkirche 18:30
- Tuesday 3 November – All Souls with Commemoration of the Faithful Departed 19:00
- Tuesday 1 December for the Patronal Feast of St Andrew 19:00
- Sunday 24 January – Joint Evensong for the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity 19:00
