St Andrew’s Youth Group comes together once a week on Fridays to catch up and enjoy some time together in a welcoming environment. In a time where such a thing is increasingly needed, we are proud to offer a safe space to teens and young adults. Activities in our meetings vary a lot and depend largely upon what our members want – we do things from game nights to movies, from crafts to ice skating in winter.
Who We Are
Made up of members aged 13-18*, we’re delighted to provide an inclusive, English-speaking environment for people to enjoy themselves and develop new skills in. Our members’ backgrounds are very diverse, creating a vibrant community full of different perspectives, ideas and experiences. Together, we build a space where acceptance and understanding thrive, and every voice is heard.
*Note: we can be flexible about this, on a case-by-case basis
What We Do
Every Friday from 18:30 to 20:30, our sessions offer a range of fun and engaging activities, so that there is always something interesting. We offer a variety of activities, from exciting game nights and movie screenings to creative craft sessions and seasonal events, like ice skating in the winter or city trail hunts in summer. Every session is planned with the members’ interests in mind and every week is a new opportunity to connect, relax, and experience something different in an inclusive and welcoming environment.

All clergy and Readers within the Church of England have Safeguarding training and need record check clearance certificates as a normal part of their ministry. Our lay volunteers who work with young people and vulnerable adults also go through the same safeguarding process, so that we can ensure that our congregation is a safe place for young and vulnerable people to visit. If you have any questions concerning Safeguarding, please contact our Safeguarding Officer.
