Behold Children are a gift from the Lord….Psalm 127
We see the children and teens in our parish as a precious gift. Accordingly, we strive to provide a safe space for them to grow in the knowledge and love of Christ.
In Junior Church children and early teens are given the opportunity to sing, to play, to make crafts and to hear stories from the Bible.
At the moment, because of Covid restrictions, we are not holding Junior Church on Sundays. From September 2020, we will aim to provide child care for the duration of the Sunday Service, for ages up to and including 9yrs.
Spaces are very limited, in order to ensure that we can maintain correct social distancing.
If you would like your child/ren to attend the Kids Corner whilst you join a Sunday Service, please do register them in advance, by midday on the Saturday, using our on-line booking system via the link on the Sunday Services page.
In ordinary times, the children meet for a short Worship session downstairs in the Community Centre on most Sunday mornings, before taking part in age appropriate lessons. They join their parents in church during the exchange of the Peace. Each week children volunteer to take the Cross and Candle from their worship time up to the altar. A volunteer also takes the collection forward at the offertory.
Older children are encouraged to join the adults in their worship and participate in part of the church service. There are also regular all-age services, usually on the first Sunday of every month.
We look forward to having you and your child/children with us on Sunday mornings!
