What is the Electoral Roll?
It is your Chaplaincy church’s register of electors. In the same way that being on the civic Electoral Roll allows you to vote in parliamentary and local elections and referenda, joining the Chaplaincy’s Electoral Roll means that you can vote on Church matters, attend the Annual Church Meeting and stand for election to the Chaplaincy Council.
Being on the Electoral Roll does NOT make you a “member” of the Church; simply regarding St Andrew’s as your spiritual home does that. There is no financial cost or liability when you join the electoral roll – you remain free to donate as you wish.
However, we do encourage adults (16 and over) to consider joining the electoral roll as a demonstration of your support for your local church here in Switzerland. Our roll is separated so you can join sub-rolls for our daughter communities in Baden, St Gallen and Zug.
More Information and How do I join the Electoral Roll?
To apply to join our Electoral Roll we prefer an electric application – please download and complete the application form here: download as a fillable PDF here. Alternatively a paper form is available in church: please ask one of the ushers/sidespeople, a church warden or one of the clergy for one.
