Christmas Bazaar – Donations

Please donate!

We will be accepting donations at the St Andrew’s Community Centre on Sundays, after the church services, or on Saturdays, between 10:00-12:00

Please bring your donations to the Community Centre at St Andrew’s

Please make sure that any items that you donate are in excellent condition.

English Groceries

Mint sauce, Paxo Stuffing, Branston Pickle, suet, treacle, golden syrup, Marmite, Bovril, Birds custard powder, dark Muscovado suger, Hartleys jelly, Ginger biscuits, Cadburys chocolates, Yorkshire tea bags, All Spice, Mixed Spice, baking powder, vanilla essence, Colmans mustard, HP Sauce, or any other product you think would be appropriate.

Drop off at the Community Centre on Sundays (after the 10:30 service) in the storeroom. Or, on Saturdays October 7th, 14th & 21st and also November 4th & 11th, between 10:00-12:00
Please make sure that the sell-by date is at least over 3 months after the Bazaar.

Books

We are always very grateful for your donations of excellent quality English print paperback books. Please note, we cannot accept German print books, travel guides, IT manuals or business journals. We would however, be happy to accept both English and German books for children.

Drop off at the Community Centre on Sundays (after the 10:30 service) in the storeroom. Or, on Saturdays October 7th, 14th & 21st and also November 4th & 11th, between 10:00-12:00

Toys (that don’t require batteries)

Puzzles (make sure they are complete), wooden toys, soft toys, dolls, vehicles, LEGO, Playmobil, Fisher Price, stacking toys, family games and more.

Please ensure they are clean and in very good condition.

Clothes and Shoes

We can only accept clothes and shoes that are clean and in excellent condition.

Please don’t bring any worn out, damaged or unclean clothes – In previous years, the condition of the clothes have not been as described above. This has created extra work for the team and additional costs, as we have to pay to dispose of unsuitable and unsold goods.

Jewellery

If you have jewellery, be it valuable or simply beautiful fashion jewellery, we would really appreciate if you would donate it to us. We have an experienced jewellery person who is looking forward to displaying it beautifully at the bazaar.

Bottle Tombola

We would like your donations of as many different unopened bottles as possible (not just alcoholic). Examples include soda, mineral water, sun cream, body lotion, body oil, body wash, various oils like olive oil, coconut oil etc, soy sauce, ketchup, mustard, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste,hair spray, deodorant, perfume, liquors, beer, hand soap, hand cream, cosmetics, hot sauce, vinegar, honey, juice, salad dressing, syrup, pasta sauce
Expiry date at least 6 weeks or more after the bazaar date

“Portobello Road Market”

We are looking for donations of good quality collectable items or antiques. Please, no bric-a-brac or second hand electrical appliances. As this is a new venture for 2023 we are unable to publish a list of acceptable items but we would be very grateful if you could give us some idea of the monetary value of your donations to assist with pricing.

Cakes and homemade savoury snacks

We welcome donations of homemade cakes, scones, quiche, sausage rolls and so forth.

Please bring your clearly marked donations to the cake stall or the cafeteria on the day of the Bazaar.
