This year, our Lent group will consider and discuss the book on “Embracing Justice” by Isabelle Hamley.
A small number of books are available to buy from St Andrew’s. If you prefer you can of course download the book on your E-reader device (e.g. Kindle), or, purchase it yourself online beforehand: (ISBN-10: 0281086540 / ISBN-13: 978-0281086542)
The book was chosen by the Archbishop of Canterbury as the recommended Lent course for 2022. It remains appropriate for use this year as we consider the world today and what this means for us. We will cover topics including Justice in Creation, Freedom, Building Communities of Justice, Justice and Incarnation, Justice in the Shape of a Cross and “Do this in remembrance of me”.
The course will run over 6 weeks during Lent, beginning in-person on Ash Wednesday, 22nd February. Weekly (mainly Wednesday) meetings will be online, although we will meet in person for the Maundy Thursday service on the 6 April to draw the course to a close.
