St Andrew’s Zurich is honoured to host the Archdeaconry of Switzerland’s Choir Festival from 22nd to 24th April. It is a very special occasion as this year marks 40 years since the first festival was held in 1982. During these days singers from chaplaincies across the Archdeaconry meet to rehearse intensively and then sing at two special worship services:

Service Music
Introit Cruft – These hours
Responses Ayleward
Psalm 126 (Garrett)
Canticles Stanford in A
Anthem Parry – I was glad (No vivats)

Choral Eucharist, Sunday 24th April at 10:30

Service Music
Introit Cruft – These hours
Setting Vierne – G, S, B, A
Psalm 126 (Garrett)
Anthem Howells – Like as the hart

The festival will be led the distinguished choral conductor and music educator, Ralph Allwood MBE who was Precentor at Eton College for 26 years and is currently Director of Music at Queen’s College, Cambridge and the Chapel at the Old Royal Naval College, Greenwich.

Whether you can sing or simply wish to enjoy some beautiful music we look forward to welcoming you to St Andrew’s for this festival of worship and song!
