This year’s conference (in German) is on Saturday 26th March at the FCG, Delfterstrasse 14, 5000 Aarau, and during the following week: 28th March – 1 April, there is a special programme if one wishes to follow up on some of the issues. These are programmed mostly for the evenings. Most of them are online.
Full information about the day’s programme is here: https://www.stoparmut.ch/konferenz-2022/tageskonferenz-2603/?L=48 . Info about the in-depth sessions in the following week is here: https://www.stoparmut.ch/konferenz-22/vertiefungswoche/?L=458
The theme of the conference is ‘God’s Global Goals’. As the Campaign Director, Florian Glaser writes: “Many Christians pray daily, ‘Your Kingdom come’. But what do we mean by that, what changes do we hope for for our World? And what does God want for this World?
The 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the UN: https://sdgs.un.org/goals offer Hope for a world free from poverty, hunger, illness and want and in which all life can flourish”. The goals are at the heart of the UN’s 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
The StopArmut conference this year looks at what progress has been been made since 2015 when the goals were launched. At the same time the conference also seeks to build a theological bridge between the Sustainable Development Goals and God’s plans for his world and encourages action so that extreme poverty can be stopped and all life can flourish.
