Help for Ukraine

We at St Andrew’s will be helping to collect things that the Ukrainian refugees most urgently need, in an efficient way, by partnering with Helfen Sie Helfen.

This Zurich based organisation has been helping needy people in Ukraine and other Eastern European countries since 1996.  They have a well-established network and can transport the goods to where they are most needed.

Donations can be bought to the Community Centre after the Sunday church services,
and also on Wednesdays between 09:00-14:00

Please only bring items from the following list*

  • Adults’ and children’s NEW socks and underwear only
  • Babies’ clothes (up to 86cm)
  • Blankets (warm blankets of any kind, but no duvets, duvet covers or pillows)
  • Hand, face, and bath towels
  • Soaps (any soap, shower gels and shampoo, of any size)
  • Any women’s sanitary products
  • Toothbrushes & Toothpaste
  • Nappies
  • Babies’ feeding bottles
  • Babies’ dummies
  • New coloured pencils, erasers, pencil sharpeners and colouring books

Remember that these things are being sent with love to people in desperate circumstances. Please ensure that your donations reflect the same care. We can only send on items of excellent quality. If the items you bring don’t meet these standards, the costs of disposing them will reduce the amount of monetary support that we can pass on to Helfen Sie Helfen.

*The situation is constantly changing, the most up to date list of items required can be found on our dedicated webpage at
