Free public transport in Switzerland for refugees from Ukraine

In connection with the war in Ukraine, the Alliance SwissPass (https://www.allianceswisspass.ch/ukraine) has decided to make it easier for refugees from Ukraine to travel from the border and within Switzerland, effective immediately and until further notice.

People who have fled Ukraine can use public transport free of charge to travel to their destination in Switzerland or to transit through Switzerland. The decision was taken in line with the Federal Council’s decisions of 28 February 2022 and in consultation with the State Secretariat for Migration (SEM) and the European partner railways (including Deutsche Bahn and Austrian Federal Railways).
