At our 10.30 service on Sunday 28th November, the Licensing of the Revd Jackie Sellin as Assistant Chaplain took place and we were delighted to welcome to St Andrew’s the Archdeacon of Switzerland, the Revd Canon Adèle Kelham, who led the service for us as the Bishop of Europe’s Commissary.

It was a lovely occasion and a real pleasure to formally welcome Jackie after the very long wait between her appointment and her arrival here in Zurich. The new vocation that Jackie received from the Church will change not only her life, but her husband Mark’s as well. Our congregation made pledges to sustain and support them during Jackie’s ministry and we look forward to working alongside Jackie as we embark on a phase of re-framing St Andrew’s in the wake of Covid, which you can read about on pages 6 and 16 in the new issue of our magazine Search. The magazine will be sent out to all subscribers this week (a little later than scheduled).

Please keep Jackie and Mark in your thoughts and prayers as they settle in and adapt to this new chapter (complete with fresh snow ⛄️) of their lives here in Switzerland.

Ruth Bailey, Church Administrator on behalf of the Chaplain, the Revd Paul Brice
