Sing Hallelujah with the BBC Philharmonic

Would you like to be part of a virtual choir singing The Hallelujah Chorus from Handel’s Messiah with the BBC Philharmonic for A Celebration for Ascension Day on BBC Radio Four?

Simply record yourself singing the famous chorus while listening to the music played by the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra. The producers will then mix together as many contributions as possible to form a virtual choir of singers from all over the world.

An accompanying soundtrack, music and full instructions on how you can send in a recording can be found on the BBC website (click here). Don’t forget to sing out, sing well and have fun! This is your chance to sing one of the best loved choruses with the BBC Philharmonic and hundreds of people from around the world.

Deadline for submissions: 11.59 pm UK time, on Sunday 17 May, 2020

The finished results will be heard on BBC Radio 4 on 21st May 2020 at 8 pm as part of A Celebration for Ascension Day. Click here for more details.
