May the fourth is widely referred to as International Star Wars Day. This morning, one of my lads (who shall remain nameless) came up to me with outstretched hand and an earnest look on his face, “Mummy, may the fourth be with you”. Following what can best be described as a brief eccumenical dilemma, I decided that the only appropriate response was, “and also with you.”
It’s not so widely known that May 4th is also International Tuba Day, which set me thinking about this cartoon, from Dave Walker at Cartoon Church, where the Beatitudes have been rewritten for a global pandemic…
…Given that our household brass band has just gained a euphonium, to go with the trombone, four trumpets and a bugle, perhaps during this period of lock-down we should add, “blessed are the neighbours of brass musicians, for they have little peace.”
In the meantime, with a nod to Star Wars day and Tuba day, the neighbours of Scott Sutherland are possibly a little luckier than mine!
😂 You just made my day!
