Reports of people helping one another have been inspiring to read. Here, then, today’s prayer, as we remember, give thanks and acknowledge all those engaged in public service and caring for others, sometimes placing themselves at risk. And let’s not forget those in isolation for the sake of others.
May we all play our part.
Teach us, good Lord, to serve you as you deserve;
to give and not to count the cost;
to fight and not to heed the wounds;
to toil and not to seek for rest;
to labour and not to seek for any reward,
save that of knowing that we do your will.
Ignatius of Loyola (1556)
Take good care today.
